The two week break from Rent has been amazing. When the show closed in Korea, I flew to Fort Lauderdale to start my vacation. It was nice to see my South Florida friends and workout at my favorite gym, Island City Fitness in Wilton Manors. On the weekend, I went to a fitness workshop in Atlanta hosted by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. It was a great experience and my bag of workout tricks expanded. I also met a few people with some pretty inspiring health and fitness stories that I will share on the blog in the future. Then it was off to Texas to visit the family where I had the opportunity to hit up the Texas State Fair in Dallas. I had a great afternoon at the fair which started with the Mary Poppins National Tour. I took my little sister and we both enjoyed the performance. After the show was over, we walked around the fair and I was immediately fascinated by the various food options in the park. I was surprised to learn how many different things can be fried. Apples, pineapples, Oreo cookies, cheesecake and even FRIED BUTTER.

Needless to say, I stuck with my bottled water and stopped to eat on the way home!
