Good Eats: Soba Jinanbo in Tokyo

Nestled in the heart of Ginza, Soba Jinanbo is the gem of traditional Japanese cuisine. I recently joined friends from Rent and staff from Wow’d Gym in Akasaka for a night of amazing food and good company. I entered the tiny (literally no more than 6 tables) Soba Jinanbo not knowing what to expect because my experience with food in Tokyo has been challenging. I try my best to eat healthy on tour and the general fare in Tokyo tends to be loaded with fat and virtual salt mines. Because the menu is in Japanese, my local friends ordered for me with instructions to stay on the healthy side. When the food started coming, it never stopped. From roasted vegetables to chicken to the most amazing omelet I have ever tasted, the experience was overwhelming. The majority of the meal was either roasted or grilled to perfection and the fried chicken was a perfect diet ”cheat”. It was more than perfect actually, it was out of this world. I highly suggest adding Soba Jinanbo to the top of your Tokyo dining list. Thanks to the staff for the terrific service and hospitality.
