My week off in Fort Lauderdale was a blast. It was great to see Noah, Beau, Tommy, Tim, Joey, Joel, Scott and John. I was hoping for some more time at the beach, but it literally rained the entire week. We made the best of it and occasionally had a glimmer of sunlight to hop in the pool. I think we visited pretty much every gay bar in town and took in the local flavor. Memorial Day of course brings the White Party which was kickin’ on the weekend. I worked out at Island City Health and Fitness located in the heart of Wilton Manors. Thanks to all the gym staff for being so great! I recommend the gym to anyone visiting the Lauderdale area. The week ended on Sunday night when I went to see porn star Brent Everett at Boardwalk. He did a great show and even his parents were there to support him. How cool is that? I will be back in Lauderdale for one night only to see Beyonce on Monday, June 29. Gregory Vander Ploeg is flying in for the concert as well.
I’m sitting at the airport now waiting to board my flight to D.C. to rejoin Rent. I have a lot of friends in the D.C. area that I can’t wait to see. Gregory is meeting me tonight for Musical Mondays at JR’s in Dupont. Gotta get the week started off right! Later in the week, Gregory and I plan to cruise around the Potomac in his boat.
