Being on tour with a show can be challenging for the athletic minded person. From the endless line of fast food chains to hotels with limited workout facilities, staying fit is not easy. I spend countless hours before arriving in a city researching food options with healthy choices and locating a gym that has everything I need. The research usually pays off which makes my stay in a city more enjoyable and improves the quality of life factor that some struggle with on the road. Several of my friends on other tours now call me to ask about which hotel has the best workout facilities or which gym is the nicest in the area. I decided that it would be a great tool to have a web site where I log my experiences and review the best places to stay fit and eat well on tour. I spoke with my friends at ABC Web Service in Fort Lauderdale and we are in the early stages of making this happen. Trinity Wheeler Fitness will be the one stop shop for where to stay, eat, workout and play for the athletic minded performer. The first release will be focused on two sections: GYMS and PLAY.
GYMS: This will be the ultimate guide for where to workout on tour. The gym reviews will include equipment information (strength and cardio), group fitness offerings, personal training options and swimming pool details. Also, extras like basketball, tennis and racquetball courts will be listed. In addition to general information, I will include a section that describes the general vibe in the gym. Whether it’s user-friendly, gay-friendly, meat-head central or pretentious, I will lay it all out.
PLAY: This section will include information on local area activities with staying fit in mind. The best running/biking trails, rock climbing gyms, boxing gyms and water sports will all be included.
The goal is for the site to launch by the end of summer.
